Dr Geoff Waring

About me

Geoff is Co-founder & Managing Partner at Stoic VC. Geoff has founded &  invested in life science companies for more than 20 years. In particular, he was an early investor in Cleanspace respirators (ASC:CSX), Resapp (acquired by Pfizer, ASX:RAP) and Cap-XX supercapacitors (Exited in UK AIM) and currently an active angel investor in companies including 23strands and HEO Robotics. He was also co-founder of medical devices company (Repartech), executive education (SPESE) and venture capital fundraising (CoCollective Capital). He also is on the investment committee of Uniseed’s technology, biotechnology investment committees and on the board of directors of DetectedX.

Geoff was formerly a business school academic in competitive strategy at the AGSM, Hong Kong University of Science & Technology, Goizueta Business School at Emory University Atlanta and at University of California Los Angeles (UCLA). He also acted as an external consultant to McKinsey & Company (New York), Boston Consulting Group/HOLT (Chicago), Bain Capital (UK) /Edcon (South Africa), Deloitte, Australian Venture Capital Association and Westpac.

Geoff holds a PhD in Economics & Strategy from UCLA, California.
